I speak about: the importance of bees; the differences between Honeybees, Bumblebees and Solitary bees; the problems they all face (focussing on habitat loss, climate change & pesticides) and what we can do to help them. I especially enjoy talking about the behaviour and life cycles of our native bumblebees and solitary bees, their roles as pollinators and their fascinating relationships with flowering plants.

I also speak about my Wildlife/Bee Garden and the importance of biodiversity.

I try to make my talks informative, interesting and inspiring - and always finish on a positive note, and I am equally happy speaking in conference centres, village halls, colleges, universities & schools and fields.

My fee is variable, starting at £65 for a local talk.

I live in Shaftesbury, North Dorset, so it depends very much on how far I need to travel to reach the venue, how long this takes, whether I need overnight accommodation, and what your requirements are.

I charge travel expenses on top of my fee to cover the fuel for my return journey @ 45p per mile

If you are interested in booking me as a speaker, or to run a 'one day tutorial', do please email me for more information.

In the last few years I have spoken at:

Natural Beekeeping Conferences, Resurgence Summer Camp, The National Honey Show, Schumacher College, Bristol Festival of Nature, Bournemouth Big Green Fortnight, Garden Organic Ryton Wildlife Day, Council events, Green Fairs, Buddhafield Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Sunrise Off-Grid Festival, Garden Festivals, Schools, Beekeeping Groups, Gardening Clubs, Beekeeping groups, Probus, Local WI Groups and regional/national AGMs, Rotary clubs….
